With the arrival of a new school year, our very own Titan Theater takes on the thrilling challenge of bringing the classic board game “Clue” to life in a spectacular theatrical production.

When we think of events here at Olympia High School, our theater team productions often come up last. However, our productions are first rate. Under the guidance of dedicated directors and teachers, the talented cast and crew have worked tirelessly to recreate the beloved game’s essence, transforming it into a live, interactive experience for theater enthusiasts, board game fans, and mystery lovers alike.

One of the standout aspects of the play was the remarkable ensemble cast. Each actor and actress strives to bring their character to life with a passion and dedication that is nothing short of impressive. They all strive to work hard to bring the audience into the world of “Clue,” captivated by the diverse personalities and motives of the characters. Sophomore Jayde Guertin, who brings the character Yevette to the stage, shared her hopes for this incredible high school play. “My hope for Clue is to become close with the cast. We know [that] we can depend on each other in case we forget lines, blocking, or whatever else may go wrong. I also hope through Clue we can show the importance of people behind the scenes. Without their hard work on set, lighting, props, etc., there would be no show,” Guertin said.

”One thing I want out of this play is that people will enjoy it as much as we, the cast, enjoyed messing around during the rehearsal process,” Director Jarrod Unowitz, the lead theater director at Olympia, shared.

Above all else, the entire ensemble cast deserves praise, including Mrs. White (freshman Lucia Sanchez), Colonel Mustard (sophomore Oliver Soares), Mrs. Peacock (junior Hannah Seiver), Ms. Scarlet (freshman Lily Dunagan), and the enigmatic butler, Wadsworth, portrayed by senior Mickey Hirten, whose exceptional rehearsing and practicing, give life to this play.

Achieving a triumphant theatrical production extends beyond the actors’ performances. Every cast member had a challenging role in breathing life into “Clue.” Freshman Lily Dunagan who plays Ms. Scarlet, shares her biggest challenge in making this incredible play, “My biggest challenge with this play is trying not to laugh because the character I play is very interesting.”

As the curtains rise on this exciting journey, the dedicated cast and crew of, “Clue,” have shown unwavering commitment and resilience. The preparation and rehearsals have been a testament to the talent, teamwork, and determination that our high school theater community possess. With each line memorized, every set piece in place, and countless hours of practice, it’s clear that the stage is set for a remarkable performance.

We eagerly await the day when the lights come up, the audience takes their seats, and “Clue” unfolds before our very eyes. This production is not just about the show itself, but the extraordinary process of creativity, collaboration, and growth that occurs behind the scenes. We invite all of you to join us as we embark on this theatrical adventure, supporting our fellow students in bringing “Clue” to life, and celebrating the magic of the stage. It promises to be a show full of mystery, humor, and the undeniable spirit of our high school community. Don’t miss our opening night on November 2nd, and shows on the 3rd & 4th!
