Thanksgiving is a fantastic holiday for loved ones to gather and eat fantastic food. But what’s better than Thanksgiving? Football! The NFL (National Football League) games on Thanksgiving are a longstanding tradition in the United States. The League schedules multiple football games to be played on Thanksgiving Day, offering fans an opportunity to enjoy exciting matchups while spending time with family and friends. These games have become an integral part of the Thanksgiving experience for many Americans. Every year since 1934, the Detroit Lions have played a game on Thanksgiving, and every year since 1966 the Dallas Cowboys have played.
This year the Green Bay Packers play the Detroit Lions, the San Francisco 49ers play the Seattle Seahawks, and the Washington Commanders play the Dallas Cowboys. Thanksgiving is a day that NFL football fans love, as they get to eat their family’s favorite foods and watch their favorite team play.
