The HOCO Pep Rally this year was definitely one for the books. With flashing lights, energizing music, and a packed crowd, the whole event came together to become an unforgettable time.
The rally kicked off by announcing the members of the HOCO Court: Seniors including Owen Hodge and Dakota Holmes-Hall, and juniors including Santiago Bonilla and Hayley Book, took the spotlight for a calm start to the festivities.
But the energy really ramped up when the cheer team took the floor. They led us in the classic TITAN cheer before launching into a new routine with moves we hadn’t seen in the first pep rally, setting the hype in motion.
Between performances from the cheer and dance teams, students got involved in a fun twist on Red Light, Green Light. This time, it was set to music: when the beat was on, you moved, and when it stopped, you froze. A lot of people were out within a couple of stops, but some managed to stay till the end, adding a burst of friendly competition
The excitement kept building with the dance team’s performance, which showcased fast paced moves set to equally upbeat songs. They kept the energy high, showing us routines that matched the rally’s vibe.
As the pep rally wrapped up, we had an inspiring moment with the football team. They shared a few words, rallied the crowd with a powerful TITAN chant, and got everyone fired up for the game.
We closed out with one final cheer and some great music from the band, sending everyone off into HOCO weekend in style.
