On October 20th, we hosted Winter Park, the only other undefeated Quiz Bowl team, and West Orange for matches that would determine bragging rights and the number one ranking in the district. (Quiz Bowl is like team-based Jeopardy.)
The match against Winter Park was a doozy that took years off my life and added even more gray to my hair. It went down to the final question, but Olympia emerged victorious and now stands at 6-0 in the league. We still have several more matches to play, including against Trinity and Timber Creek, but for now, we can proudly brag about beating Winter Park and being the only undefeated team left in the league.
Our superstars this year are Oliver Lund and Minh-Quan Nguyen, but we have lots of amazing players on the team (listed below is who played today). Congratulate them and ask them how they did individually if you have them!
