As the Class of ’26 enters their final year of high school, the excitement of Homecoming returns. The tradition of Homecoming week, filled with memories and friendships, will always carry a special place in the hearts of seniors Alexi Mulvihill and Timone Rakhmakhah. This year both were nominated for Homecoming Court, a moment that marked a great start to their senior year. Alexi was astonished when she came to school expecting to hear that her friend made the list, but, to her surprise, she heard her name as well. “I didn’t even know I was on the ballot,” Alexi exclaimed. Timone, on the other hand, was pleased but not surprised to be on the ballot for the second year in a row. “I want to thank the Titans for voting for me,” he declared.
The Spirit Week is another fun and exciting part of the Homecoming Week that adds to the collective anticipation of the big night. From Titan gear to space jammies, there were so many themes students could dress up for. “My favorite spirit day this week has to be the Back to the Future day, for sure. It’s my favorite trend,” admitted Rahmankhah. Timone was excited to wear clothes from the 80s for this spirit week day, it’s a tradition he follows every year. On the other hand, Alexi is looking forward to Aliens VS Spies day because she gets to wear a wig. All of these fun activities encourage the students to embrace the Titan school spirit.
Beyond the court announcements, there’s also the personal thrill preparing for the big night. For Alexi, her perfect “getting ready” day starts with a delicious meal before the game. Then, she would do her hair and makeup while listening to Sabrina Carpenter’s new album and finally meet her friends to have a night they’ll never forget. Timone also plans to get ready by putting on his favorite music and get dressed like he’s in a movie.
When the moment finally arrived and the court was called onto the field, Alexi and Timone walked with their partners, all dressed up and beaming with pride. For a moment, time slowed down, they looked out at the crowd of friends cheering, cameras flashing, and felt the weight of four years in one single unforgettable night.
Although Joshua Santos and Hayley Book ended up becoming the King and Queen, the memories, laughter, and joy of Homecoming will stay with Alexi and Timone long after the night ends.
