This month, rapper NBA Youngboy announced his new US tour for 2025! He will be visiting 30 cities all across America, including Orlando. NBA Youngboy is one of the most influential music artists in the world and has impacted many people from all around the globe.
There are many opinions on this tour and artist, so we asked some of Olympia’s students to give theirs. Sophomore Jackson Greschler exclaimed, “I am super excited for this tour. I have been listening to NBA Youngboy for a long time, and I think that once he comes to Orlando, I will for sure be going to the concert.” We also asked Greschler and some other students how NBA YoungBoy’s craft influences them, and what emotions come up when they listen to him. Sophomore Tobin Greschler stated, “I love listening to Youngboy during my cooldown or when I’m about to go to bed. He makes me feel so relaxed and calm that it allows me to get more sleep and makes me feel better. My favorite song of his is ‘Untouchable’ because it has a calm kind of tone and keeps me relaxed right before I fall asleep.”
Many other students also agreed with Tobin on this statement. Freshman Caiden Rama explained that “Youngboy is one of those artists who has multiple songs for every category that you want. If you want to listen to something calm, he has songs for that, or if you want to listen to something energetic and loud, he has songs for that as well. That’s what makes him such a great artist: he makes music for every type of emotion.”
Cameron Johanson also offered his thoughts about this tour. “I first saw NBA Youngboy on TikTok performing the song ‘Right Foot Creep’ at a concert, and ever since then, he has been one of my favorite artists to listen to. I love listening to him before a game because he makes me focus and lock in for my game. The Masa tour looks very fun, and I can’t wait to go with all of my friends.”
