This month, Olympia held its big Homecoming pep rally! Here’s a recap if you missed this fun, school-spirited event. Our theme for this year was neon-themed Black Out. Most of the feedback for this theme was very positive. The pep rally wasn’t just a kick start for our game against Lake Nona that night, it was also a way to get students excited for our Homecoming Dance the next day at the House of Blues!
The Titanettes, as well as our cheerleading team, did an outstanding job creating a lively, enjoyable atmosphere. Nika Gomez, the dance captain who participated in the Pep Rally, noted that she “really enjoyed performing for the school and overall loved the pep rally.” A lot of the Class of 2026 soaked in this last experience—the laughs, incredible performances, and school spirit made for a truly memorable assembly.
The band also gave an unforgettable performance at this event.. They did an excellent job entertaining everyone with tunes and pieces that really set the tone. All their hard work and dedication really paid off; you truly could see everyone’s excitement when the iconic theme song came on. Kemari Wharton, one of our Seniors, exclaimed, “Every time I hear our OT Chant, it truly just gets better and better.”
Senior Makayla Christophe agreed that the pep rally was ”enjoyable.” She really felt like everything was planned accordingly, though her favorite part was the band and the dance team. Although this was the last pep rally for the football season, we know it’s just the beginning of fun events this year at Olympia High School!
As all good things in life do, our Homecoming Pep Rally came to an end.. Although for some this moment turned out to be bittersweet and nostalgic, everyone still had a great time, and that’s what it’s all about. From the dances to the music to the fun, exciting games, it was truly an amusing sight. As the school year continues, Olympia has many more exciting events in store and we cannot wait to share every thrilling moment with our Titans.
